I purchased this grinder in 1985 (in my pre-computer days)and used it almost daily until last year, when I purchased a new "state of the art" model. I donated it to my cooking school and it is still grinding coffee for 6-8 pots per day, working as well as it did the day it was purchased. I wish I had it back, as it is far superior to my new model.
