We were so pleased when we first started using this coffee grinder. Noise level was average considering what you are actually doing, and you do have to be careful not to "over-grind". But the ease of use was fantastic. Unfortunately, the product lasted only two years before the motor blew. We are being optomistic and purchasing another and giving Krups the benefit of the doubt that it will last longer this time.
